Part of the dual life I lead is involved with software development, and some of that software runs at Ascot handling their TV systems. It’s a pretty strange occasion and when you’ve spent some time there it becomes obvious that the actual horses are nothing more than an excuse. Ascot is actually all about hats. Tall ones, ribboned ones, bizarre paisley patterned ones. And that’s just the men!
